Update on Hillary fna Uma/Hailey

I have had Hillary for over six months and her spookiness has slowly improved.  She still will not come to me, but she will come up behind me if I am not looking at her.  She started wagging her tail at me when I come home about a month ago - that was BIG!  And she runs and plays with the other dogs in the yard.  She tries so hard to get them to play with her.  She has discovered stuffies and walks all over the yard now.  For months she would only go to one spot, but as she becomes more comfortable, she explores.  She has gained much needed weight and is as soft as a rabbit.
She will do best in a quiet home with other Greyhounds that she can play with and learn from.  Time and patience is all that is needed for her to become the sweetest most loving girl in the world - she wants to be that dog and she will be one day.
Do you have a place for her and the desire to help her?

  1. So cute. I've had a dozen Greyhounds in the last twenty-one years, the last almost making it to her 16th birthday last October. The void their memory and companionship has left is beyond words.

  2. Does Sweet Haley have a home yet? When I lived in FL I was a Greyhound Foster Mom In Plant City FL at one time I had 4 babies in my home. I miss Grey's in my live and I now live in South GA with my Husband on 5 acres. We would love to have a sweet girl like Haley in our family.

  3. Maggie--contact our adoption coordinators adopt@greyhoundadoption.org. They can discuss further with you about completing an application and about whether it would be a good match or not.

  4. How is Hilary doing currently? I've had 4 greyhounds and 3 of them have been sega dogs. I tend to be attracted to the spooks. She looks like my Abby that passed 2 years ago. She started out as a spook but adjusted well. Is this girl on meds by chance?

    1. Hi,
I'll ask Hilary's foster mom to post a recent update on her. If you are interested in her, submit and application and talk with our adoption folks. They could tell you more about how she's doing and if she' on meds or not.

  5. Hello again,
I ran across Miss Uma's picture and was wondering if she has been adopted by her foster mom and how is she doing?

    Thanks,
    Angela
